Memorial Day is a US federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May, which honors military personnel who have died. As a military brat, this holiday is a rather important one for me. The rituals I normally engage in to honor family members in uniform who have passed, I can’t due to stay-at-home orders. After thoughtful consideration, I realized that one way I can pay tribute to them is through the time-honored Naval practice of not washing my coffee mug.
